  • Project Operations Manager

Basic Function of the Position

The Project Operations Manager will support the project Resident Advisor and Intermittent Advisors, in a range of project related managerial activities including effective stakeholder communication and coordination, project research, analysis, reporting, documentation, training and implementation, and interpretation and translation, in line with established project objectives, work plans and logical frameworks (Log Frame).


The primary duties are outlined below:

  • Perform research and analysis in assigned project areas and contribute to the preparation of project briefs and status updates to support informed decision making and planning
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between project advisors and key stakeholders across various Ministries and other partner agencies including the frequency and the desired method of communication
  • Develop a process to follow up with project teams and others with reminders of deadlines
  • Provide project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on approved Log Frame activities, outputs, indicators, and work plans
  • Support the development and review of internal reports and deliverables, including reviewing, editing, and revising to ensure accuracy and counterpart comprehension
  • Evaluate situations with counterparts and determine appropriate action with prompt communication to leadership as needed
  •  Provide logistics support including scheduling meetings, document meeting notes, collecting and disseminating information to appropriate end users
  • Coordinate with project leads to formulate training schedules and logistics, update training documents, confirm attendance, compile evaluation forms, and summarize feedback from participants
  • Identify and work closely with international counterparts and government institutions to facilitate and coordinate project activities from implementation to close out
  • Conduct research and analysis when needed to contribute to program deliverables
  • Identify potential project issues and risks and work with Resident Advisor and/or advisors to develop mitigation strategies
  • Serve as a critical contact for project related inquiries and information sharing
  • Actively develop and maintain professional contacts with mid and senior level representatives of counterpart organizations
  • Provide or arrange for interpretive translation services at all meetings and trainings between advisors and counterparts
  • Perform other duties as needed for the successful implementation of the project activities

Desired Skills

  • Previous experience working with Ministries/Institutions of Government of North Macedonia
  •  Knowledge of and experience working with the Public Revenue Office and Customs Administration of the Government of North Macedonia
  • Experience with project support and coordination at various levels

Education

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree

Work Schedule

  • Full time
